When I was young The People took action and participated in exacting change to government policies that negatively afftected their lives (especially during the vietnam era) and these days while the aged and wealthy control most of the wealth in Amerca and the younger generations cannot afford to buy homes to raise families in, most people ate so preoccupied with making ends meet that they don't cate about trying to help others exact change in their lives.
If people won't help others try to help them, then why should individuals put forth the effort to help people who won't try to help themselves.
